Bidrage med feedbackThe room was absolutely dreadful and completely different from what was advertised. Not only that, but the laundry room was out of order, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, there was a lagoon nearby with alligators, which was not mentioned or warned about beforehand. Moreover, the noise from the air conditioning system was so loud that it felt like trying to sleep on a plane surrounded by roaring turbines. We arrived on July 9, 2023. I had made a reservation for a room with one king bed and two day beds. At 4pm, when I accessed my room, I requested the ladies at the front desk to prepare the sheets and covers for the day beds. However, I had to approach the front desk three more times at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm, repeating the same request. The last time, I waited until I received confirmation that the beds were ready. Upon returning to my room, I discovered that the beds were still not prepared. Frustrated, I went back to the front desk for the fifth time that day and explained that I needed the beds ready for my kids. Unfortunately, the two ladies there were disrespectful and unaccountable. They insisted I had to wait and even started attending to the next guest in line, ignoring my request. I asked if there was another room available for my kids or if we could be given a different room altogether, but they continued to ignore me and simply repeated that I had to wait. Thirty minutes later, the manager finally appeared and resolved the issue. I want to emphasize the lack of respect and empathy shown by the two ladies, especially considering I had been waiting for more than four hours after a long trip just to have the beds prepared for my kids.
I give a 3 only because the staff seems to really be trying to keep place alive. Check in at 4 and room wasn’t available till 5:20. The rooms have not had a wet mop clean the floor in years. For all inclusive the dining was not good. The option was breakfast 8-10 Lunch 12-2 Dinner 6-9. The bar open all day and live mystic was good but no snacks nothing to eat outside of the dining window. The beach closed. The pool is large and music good. I wouldn’t recommend if your looking for fun and food.
I wanted to celebrate my birthday weekend at Sandpiper Bay Resort.We did the day resort pass from 10am to 10pm for $100 or you could do the half day pass from 10am to 5pm for $75.Food, drinks and the amenities are included. Lunch and dinner was buffet style and the food was good. They also have a taco bar which was yummy.The drinks were delicious for house liquor. Sadly, it rained for the whole day and we were unable to enjoy the water sports or the pool.They accommodated us and we will return when the weather is better.Thank you ClubMed for a great experience.
Where to I even begin? Upon checking in we walk to our room to find another guest walking out. Had to wait over an hour for another room. When walking in the 2nd room we wanted to turn around and walk out. Absolutely disgusting. From dirty floors, dust covered walls/vents, sinks that didn’t drain, buckled vinyl flooring, cracked tile, ceiling patched multiple times due to obvious water damage. Our view was of a chain link fence due to construction. But not one person was doing any construction the entire week we were there. The food was the only thing tolerable and that’s not saying much considering how terrible everything else was. The resort is lacking in so many ways only one pool, limited employees, running out of ice due to previous owner taking ice makers ? , rude bartenders. The day before we were to checkout we walked into our room which still hadn’t been cleaned at 5pm to a ceiling leak. Plaster all over the floor and nearly ruining multiple items on the desk. So off to a new room we go…. I asked for a luggage cart to move all our stuff. I was brought a trash cart ridiculous! I wish we could we get a refund. They shouldn’t be allowed to charge people what they charge. For those complaining about their vacations being cancelled consider yourselves lucky!! We sincerely hope to get our money back. We booked this vacation a few months ago and figured it would be a family friendly resort while we have a baby and toddler with us. Thankfully our babies are easy going and easily entertained. Basically everything is run down and under construction. We even found actual feces at the bottom of the stairwell. We were told two weeks before our stay that it would be under renovations. Well with five adults and two infants, two weeks notice to cancel our entire trip after everyone took time off work was not enough time to change our plans or figure out other travel plans. The staff was very friendly and when they called to explain that they were going under renovations, one of the staff members burst into tears. We have stayed at a ton of places across the globe from Guatemala to Sri Lanka and this one was by far the worst. If we don’t get a full refund, we are sincerely considering exploring legal action. The pictures are total bait and switch. Do not be fooled.
