The Olde Schoolhouse - Port Royal

As always, an Awesome Experience! Today the kitchen staff was short handed, so business ran slower than normal. However, we received what we were expecting. The food rocked!

All the food was amazing, the grits are fabulous. And don’t get me started on the French toast biscuits.

I have never in my life waited so long for food that never came. Ordered scrambled eggs and waited an hour and a half before walking out. No updates from the server. I’m sure they were busy but maybe add more than one stove top in the kitchen.

Great breakfast! Ample portions of good eating. Very enjoyable fresh corned beef hash. Busy and a bit noisy.

Inside is Griddle and Grits which serves great food in a historic setting. Nostalgia abounds since I attended a small school like this. Service was outstanding and thanks to patio seating our wait was non-existent. Inside seats are limited so a wait arises very easily if you insist on this option.
