Bidrage med feedbackThis zoo was surprisingly so much fun, and there were so many cute animals. I went to this zoo for the first time last weekend, and it is way better than I expected. Using the Passport discount, it only costs $10 to get in. It is worth every penny of that. I wouldn't pay the regular $28.99 to go to this zoo. This zoo has many different types of animals. For example, they have zebras, hippos, lions, bears, an aquarium, a rainforest, and even local farm animals you can pet. The only downside to this place is that many animals were not there the day we went. Maybe they were sleeping inside somewhere, but there were many times when we were disappointed that we didn't see anything.
I haven't been to the zoo since I was a kid and we spontaneously decided to head to Woodland Park Zoo for the first time on Saturday afternoon. We luckily got our tickets for $9.75 each due to my boyfriend having a Prime card. If you work at Microsoft, definitely check out the Passport app! There are so many awesome deals on there normal pricing for an adult is $28.35. We weren't sure what to expect when we arrived but we were pleasantly surprised with how massive and clean the zoo was. There were many different areas and the walk around the zoo was absolutely beautiful surrounded by a multitude of trees and nature. It made me happy to see that many of the animals had a lot of opespace to roam around. Many animals that we wanted to see unfortunately weren't in their enclosures (probably because of the cold weather) which was a bummer, but other than that we had a great experience!
The zoo is currently working on enhancing habitats for some of the animals, and I'm excited to see the improvements. One project includes new areas where birds can safely fly overhead outdoors while being netted above visitor pathways. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, Woodland Park Zoo continues to impress. I'm thrilled to be a member. I often visit just for a peaceful walk, enjoying some exercise in a beautiful forest-like environment. As a woman walking alone, I feel safer here than in a public park with trails. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Woodland Park Zoo to everyone—both tourists and locals alike.
I have to say, Woodland Park Zoo is one of the best zoos I've visited in my lifetime. It is stunning and shows great care for all the animals who live here. The spacious enclosures bring me pure joy to see. The abundance of greenery creates an enchanting atmosphere, almost like stepping into a magical forest that serves as a sanctuary for its residents. I'm really glad I visited, and I highly recommend that others take the time to see what they're doing here. The vast space is impressive, and the animals are absolutely adorable. There’s quite a bit of walking involved, but I believe it’s worth every step.
My husband and I took our 8-month-old daughter to the zoo a couple of weeks ago (early Spring 2024). Although she wasn't particularly focused on the animals, we had a wonderful time, and she enjoyed a nice walk outdoors. We were fortunate to see a variety of animals, which can be quite hit or miss since they roam freely. Our highlights included watching the bears swimming right in front of the glass wall, the playful otters, and the monkeys with the little ones chirping high up in the trees while the adult gorillas lounged around, observing their antics. Personally, I loved the bird exhibits, where you can walk inside and have birds flying around freely—it was an incredible experience to be in the enclosure with them! However, I have to advise against eating at the food court; it was really disappointing. The prices were outrageous, and the food was not tasty at all. I only managed to eat what I did because we hadn't eaten since breakfast and had been walking around for over four hours. We even ended up throwing away the leftovers, as you can see in the photo. Overall, we had a great day, and we're looking forward to returning in a few years when our daughter can appreciate the animals more.
