They called ahead and asked they said that many things could be made GF (GF Pasta, Salat Wrap for burgers, etc. and that their salads were not before, so I could not ask for any crumbs. I explained celiac disease to the waiter and they took note of it, said they would say the kitchen. 3/4 through my salad I found cripples! I have gluten.
I can't say for certain that I got sick from this restaurant; it might have been something else that didn't sit well with me. However, considering the reviews from others, it does feel a bit suspicious. There's a strong possibility I may have accidentally consumed gluten.
I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday, and I was initially concerned about their gluten-free options. I called ahead to inquire, and they assured me that many dishes could be made gluten-free, including gluten-free pasta and a lettuce wrap for burgers. They also mentioned that their salads were prepared fresh, so I could request no croutons. I explained my celiac condition to the waiter, who noted it and promised to inform the kitchen. However, three-quarters of the way through my salad, I discovered bits of crouton! I ended up getting glutened.
I ordered the Ahi Tuna taco appetizer. The server was extremely helpful and suggested some modifications. The tacos were served wrapped in lettuce instead of a crispy shell, and the tuna was simply prepared without any soy sauce marinade. I didn't experience any issues afterward, and they were absolutely delicious. However, I did notice that the menu had limited options.
I'm not certain that I got sick from this place; it could have been something else affecting me. However, based on the other reviews, it does seem a bit peculiar. It's very possible that I came into contact with gluten.
