Hanayuki Sushi - Port Moody

Enjoyed our visit to this place. They made a mistake by serving us a couple of roles that were meant for another table but solved the issue fast. Therefore we could tast multiple sushi roles. The only remark on the food was maybe a bit too much cream cheese. Also also all the sushi places look kind of similair so it was good but not out of the ordinary.

I really like the food here. It is one of my go to sushi places locally. The tempura is really crispy and satisfying. Sashimi is my favourite here because it is very fresh and pleasing.And the service I experienced so far is very convenient and fast. Servers are friendly and responsive. Would recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy!

I'm disappointed that this used to be my favourite sushi place but is no longer. The food is still pretty decent but the service has gotten worse and worse over the years. Many times I have forgiven them because I do like the food and understand that unexpected things can happen, but it's gotten to a point now that it's becoming such an inconvenience that it's not worth the trouble.They just don't seem to have enough servers to cover the whole restaurant when I attempt to dine in and a couple times now they have forgotten items in my take-out order where I've had to drive back for them.The straw that broke the camel's back was when I had to wait nearly 40 minutes for my food while dining in recently. It was dinner rush so I tried to be patient but even the person sitting next to me noticed and commented on it. When I inquired to the server, she apologized and said they're busy but the food is coming, but it was clear someone dropped the ball somewhere as I had to wait another 10 minutes on top of the 40 I already waited for the food to arrive...

Anything ordered with tuna was fabulous! Cold Japanese beers were appreciated. This is our friend's favourite Port Moody sushi place and we see why. We loved it so much we went back twice within 5 days! Quickly seated and ordered. Service is excellent and fast. We were a table of 6 people. Everyone loved their choice of sushi. We also had 2 vegetarians in our party.
