Mcdonald's - Port Lavaca

I generally expect a mediocre dining experience from McDonald's, but the last two times I've been here, the food has been surprisingly excellent—an impressive feat for a fast-food chain. The nuggets were incredibly crispy and served hot, while the burger looked fresh and wasn't a soggy mess; it appeared as though someone had taken a moment to present it nicely. I don’t often recommend McDonald's, but this location definitely stands out as better than most.

I checked my meat patty and was disappointed to find it broken because it had apparently fallen on the floor, so I ended up throwing it away. I was particularly upset since I hadn't eaten all day during my trip. I've never been served a meat patty in four broken pieces before. The only reason I'm giving this place three stars is that the drink was served ice-cold right away, and the fries were fresh, hot, and perfectly salted. The manager really needs to pay attention to the young staff they've hired; they shouldn't be playing around while customers are trying to enjoy their meals.

The beverage machines were out of water, which was disappointing. It appeared that there was someone in the kitchen who might have been a friend or a spouse of a staff member, but they didn't seem to be part of the kitchen team. However, the coworkers who assisted us were very pleasant and accommodating, and they even brought us extra coffee.

It's okay, but they take a long time for a fast eating place.

This McDonald's is consistently one of the slowest. The service is very hit or miss. Some of the employees are absolutely lovely, but most are quite unfriendly. Today, my fries tasted old and stale. The chicken breast on my sandwich was so burned I couldn't eat it. The bun was hard, stale, and burned, and the lettuce tasted dirty and soggy. It seemed like it had been made much earlier and kept in a warmer. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on this. :
