Restaurant Le Guilly Glas - Port-Launay

This cafe/restaurant can be found through the drive along the road, to the end where it is located from the canal and looking for transporters and lkws that are parked outside and cars. it consists of many tables and offers a set of three courses...Meal plus wine and coffee for e12. every day there is a buffet start plus a set MAIN course (on the day of my visit chicken casserole with pasta) and a selection at desserts. a bottle of red wine plus water is already on the table and then coffee is served. eat good quality, though with not much choice, but try when they pass.

Le Guilly Glas n'est pas à proprement parler un restaurant, ni un bar... c'est un "bar-barre"... On peut y déjeuner et y dîner (galettes et crêpes), y prendre l'apéritif ou "une tasse", dans une ambiance très détendue et conviviale et surtout s'y retrouver avant ou après une ballade en bateau sur la gabarre restaurée "la fée de l'Aulne" (1 h30 a/r pour Châteaulin, 5 h a/r pour Brest).Le Guilly Glas est le bar-crêperie de l'association qui fait vivre la Fée de l'Aulne, situé au bord de l'Aulne comme s'il s'agissait de la gare d'embarquement de la gabarre. Ambiance associative donc, ce qui n'empêche pas de déguster de très bonnes galettes et crêpes à des prix très doux. Évidemment, on ne va pas là-bas pour aller chercher du haut standing, mais de la convivialité, de la bonne humeur, au bord de l'eau, dans un cadre calme et verdoyant.

This Cafe/Restaurant can be found by driving along the road until the very end where it moves away from the canal and looking out for vans and lorries parked outside as well as cars. It consists of many tables and offers a set three course meal plus wine and coffee for E12. Each day there is a buffet starter plus a set MAIN course (on the day of my visit Chicken Casserole with Pasta) and a choice of desserts. A bottle of red wine plus water is already on the table and coffee is served up afterwards. Good quality food, albeit with not much choice but worth trying if passing.
