La Pena - Port-la-Nouvelle

Shells in many preparations (of which we tried Marinières and au Roquefort, both winners). Everyone around us ordered dessert, so we decided this was to be done. The Mega-Profiterole served three of us nicely. Add a good carafe of white wine and a view of the sea, and we were three happy diners. Will do it again.

We go to La Pena often the food is always excellent, the waitresses are charming the view is wonderful. The entrecôte is fantastic every time! Highly recommend!

Agree with earlier Tourist Trap comment. Despite restaurant being practically empty, staff were not attentive and we had to wait a tremendously long time for our food to arrive. Seems everything we ordered looked and tasted like it was frozen. We couldn 't wait to leave....Don 't eat here. If you want to have nice tapas go to Le Marine or The XV in the old town of Port la Nouvelle.

During our vacation we had dinner here, and was pleasently surpriced. The restaurant was well booked without being overly full, we had a nice table with a view. The food was good, well prepared and plenty, and we couldn't find anything to complaint about. This...place became our restaurant of choice for the rest of our vacation.

This place is absolutely a place to recommend. The service is nice and the waitress are very friendly. Will come back
