The Kermandie Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely gardens and views of the marina.

New Year's Day and we hadn't booked anywhere so were pleasantly surprised to get a table at Sass. The pleasant drive through the Huon Valley had us at the restaurant in about 45 minutes and we were quickly seated at a window table overlooking the river and small marina.The in-house hot smoked salmon was delicious as were the pan seared scallops - good sized entree plates which were satisfying but left room for our mains. My atlantic salmon with greens and a master stock was simply delightful.We would certainly recommend this place and will return
