Straits Cafe & Swish Bar - Port Douglas

We have used the discount coupon from the Savings Passport twice now and it has been great each time. The coupon allows for a Hamburger with great fries, wine, beer or soft drink and a swim for $14.90.

We ate here 3 times during our stay and meals were delicious everytime. The continental breakfast was plenty and varied.

The restaurant was ready for the 26 of us and even closed it down to the public for us. They had the correct number of seats for us, and were friendly the moment we arrived. Drinks came quickly as did the few entrees ordered. Mains came out generally together with only a couple of mix ups. The service was friendly and we all enjoyed the atmosphere. 1 chicken dish a bit dry but everyone enjoyed their dishes.

This cafe is in The Rendezvous Resort overlooking the amazing pool. We Stayed at the Rendezvous and had lunch here very fresh and healthy portions would recommend!

Firstly the service and staff are brilliant. We are dinner here but felt the menu was limited for choice and the food was actually not great. Overall it was passable and considering the other reviews perhaps we caught it on a bad night. My husbands meal was cold and inedible, but they didn't charge him for it. The other meals were just Ok if I'm honest. Nice surroundings and quiet place to eat when we were in, earlier evening I think it would be busy
