Paddy's Irish Pub - Port Douglas

Went here for lunch with partner and family, the meals were average with nothing really memorable to go back for, but I did notice how pricey there drinks were when it cost nearly twelve dollars for two beers something is not right especially when they were only carlton draught and a mid strength great northern

Goodlocation and found the bar staff helpful. However, the food was ok until night 3 when we ordered bangers & mash and battered fish. The bangers and mash were cold and I was extremely disappointed with the fish & chips; there were no mushy peas (as advertised), the salad was dry and the chips were awful......stale and cold. Whilst the pub is ok, we will not eat there again.

The food has gone down hill as we use to always come here for a meal when in Port.With EXTREMELY LOUD music with no consideration to guests in surrounding holiday apartments.Screaming & yelling some alcohol fuelled patrons who also have no consideration for others when leaving Paddy's.Not a place anymore to chat over a meal as you can't hear each other. This place was a pleasant surprise. On first impression it looked like any other tourist town pubs albeit with a nice flair of it's own. But when our food arrived we realized what a gem it was. We were a party of eight who, BTW, quickly were accommodated with some table movement. And we all ordered various dishes. Everyone of us were very impressed with the quality of the food and it's preparation. My stead was cooked to my liking and the sauce was one of the best I had ever tasted. The others had things like seafood platters and chicken Parma. All were delicious and presented stylishly. Then add to all that fast and caring service by the staff and you get a great all rou g experience. And I didn't even mention the free live music all weekend long. Highly recommended and will be back on our next trip to Port Douglas

Great place for food snd entertainment Fun trivia night snd grest bands/singers Pub grub great. Best beef and Guinness pie I've had for ages.
