Mcdonald's - Port Clinton

I'll let the photos do the talking. Dinner was incredible and the service was outstanding. My server, Bill, was knowledgeable about the wine selection and the specials of the day. His dessert recommendation was spot on. I sat at the bar and felt a genuine connection with the restaurant. Every dish was packed with the flavors I was craving, and I couldn't wait for each plate to arrive at my table. I will definitely be coming back. If you're in the Sylvania area and looking for great food, stop by Ciao—you won't be disappointed!

On the afternoon of June 6, 2022, some young soldiers from my unit wanted to grab some coffee. I used my phone to look up the number for this McDonald's and called to speak with a manager about ordering three large coffee boxes. Initially, he was unsure if they had any, but after checking, he told me he could find them and asked for 30 minutes to prepare the order. I thanked him and drove from Camp Perry to the McDonald's location. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see the same kind woman from a few days earlier. She again offered to pay for my meal, but I explained that I was there just to pick up the coffee order. While I was waiting, I stepped aside to answer some messages from my leadership. When I looked back, I saw her on the customer side of the counter with her credit card ready to pay. When she finished, she said it was taken care of and expressed her gratitude for my service. I told her it wasn’t necessary, but she insisted. I asked for her name to acknowledge her kindness, and she jokingly gave me a wrong name, but one of her teammates called her Lori. Lori is truly a generous American and a valuable asset to the McDonald’s team. When I returned with the coffee for my soldiers, they thanked me, but I reminded them it wasn’t me they should thank—it was Lori at McDonald's.
