Jd's Bistro And Grille - Port Charlotte

We heard that there would be live entertainment on Friday night, but if that's the case, I doubt we will return. There are many other restaurants that offer much better quality food for the price. We were there primarily for the entertainment.

We made a reservation well in advance and canceled it on the 26th of January, even though their own website indicated they were open. When we arrived, we discovered that the restaurant was actually closed. We received an email notification only after we returned home, but it was too late for us to make alternative plans. I believe they should notify OpenTable so that my app would have alerted me, allowing me to adjust accordingly. This situation was unacceptable, and they did not respond to our concerns. It would have been nice if they had reached out and offered a discount for when we decide to return. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We visited JD on Saturday, December 21st, and unfortunately, our experience was not great. The service was terrible, and the duck we ordered was disappointing. We had to wait three hours for our dinner! On the bright side, the music was good and the atmosphere was nice, but I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We share the lamb frame (8 ribs) and the often roasted vegetables. as always we started with the chef and brought home for the following lunch. our server was a little chatty in view of the number of tabs that she had, but overall the service was very good. the jazz was very good. there was a big party in the other half of the room, so it was a little novice than usual, but not so much that we could not talk or enjoy the music.

Heard a lot about JD's, finally went there with a date. The entertainment was superb, the Salmon Oscar was the best I ever had, even my date commented on it. The Chicken Picatta was very good also. I gave it a four on atmosphere as I likened it to the old TV show 77 Sunset Strip which brought back memories and a five rating, but my date thought the interior to stark.
