Bidrage med feedbackThey got my order completely wrong, tried to call them 6 times and the rude employees hung up the phone all 6 times.
The restaurant has been closed since Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 (four years prior to this review). I've attempted to get both the church and Google to indicate that this location is closed, and I was eventually successful. They had previously shown altered hours during COVID-19 despite never having reopened. Both sources now indicate that it has been temporarily closed since October 2020. There are no signs of any efforts to reopen. Don’t hold your breath for this place to come back anytime soon, if at all.
I’m grateful for the nearby restaurant that’s become my go-to. My 95-year-old mother loves the drumsticks from Church's Chicken. When I visit, I usually order 18 legs, along with one spicy and one regular thigh. I store about five legs in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator and freeze the rest for later. They mentioned they need to start preparing my order in advance since I often request legs. I assure them, when I have to wait, “I’m happy to wait!”
The service was slow even with four people working behind the counter. I find it frustrating to visit this place because they are consistently slow, but unfortunately, it's the only church left in Port Arthur.
