Twisted Spoon - Port Alberni

I have been a customer here since the early 90s and not much has changed. The diner food is good, with decent portions and reasonable prices. The staff is competent and friendly.

We decided to have our first breakfast at Home Restaurant during our recent 2-night stay in Hope.

The meal was delicious and served piping hot. The service was excellent and very friendly. The mashed potatoes were exceptionally tasty and it seemed like they were homemade.

We heard really good things about the food and service so we decided to try it out. It was a nice family style atmosphere. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly. They had a nice variety on the menu and daily specials. We all enjoyed our meals. The smoked chicken fettuccine was amazing! Everything was homemade and fresh. We will definitely be back.

With a name like the Twisted Spoon we were expecting something with character, a little eclectic. The restaurant is very small and located in a hotel in an obscure location. Very dingy, a bit dirty but very friendly waitress and my fish n chips were great!
