All Mex'd Up - Port Alberni

The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. We also loved the atmosphere. The Mexican cuisine was authentic, the menu was awesome, and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The outdoor seating area is charming and perfect for enjoying Mexican takeout. The food was decent, but I have had better at other places. My family of six all tried different tacos and items from the menu. One odd thing was that while everyone else received their food on plates and taco holders, mine came in a small plastic basket and looked smaller. I couldn't help but feel like they didn't appreciate the tip I gave for the takeout, as the employee seemed to scrutinize it. Despite my tip being reasonable for takeout, I left feeling disappointed. I visit this town every summer, but I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I recently ordered food from this restaurant and found it to be fresh. However, I did notice that some of the portions were a bit small. I would recommend trying the Beef Enchiladas with a side of red rice.

On the way from Vancouver to Tofino and wanted to stop for lunch in Port Alberni. Careful not to stop on the highway as is people's habit. Take a few minutes to go down to the end of Argyle St. There you will find a lovely little port and a few great eateries. We stopped in at this little spot and were not disappointed. Great mexican food and decor. A little treasure.

We were looking for a quick lunch spot (while waiting for the hwy to Tofino to open), as we all know a lot of restaurants in this Covid era are either limited staff, hours or food options, so we didn’t have many choices. We were wandering around the dock area and came upon this Mexican eatery so we went in and were delighted with the eclectic ambiance, prompt service, tasty selections and nice cold beer. I definitely recommend this place if your going thru the area, you won’t be disappointed.
