Bidrage med feedbackAfter not having a meal at Pizza Hut since being a young child, me and my friend thought that this would be an interesting option to revisit as the Taco Bell opposite was completely crammed. Immediately upon entering, I had a feeling not so dissimilar to what I felt when walking through the aisles of Wilko shortly before their nationwide closures the place feels like it's days away from closing. The staff seemed less than pleased to be there, giving off most of the signs of being improperly trained and managed. After waiting for only a couple of minutes, one of the waitresses took us over to our table. The table itself seemed clean enough and being given physical menus was a nice touch. However, there wasn't any kind of instruction from our server on how to place an order I'm assuming that it must be possible somehow to order without using the QR codes placed on the tables but it certainly wasn't made obvious to us. The pricing on the menu was incredibly expensive and frankly quite bold considering that you could spend the same money at the Pizza Express directly opposite and get full, smiling service and higher quality food for your money. I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that there was also a suggested tip section for minimal service? I believe wholeheartedly in tipping generously when it's been earned, however asking for a tip before giving any service makes little sense to me. Alas, we placed our order coming to almost £50 for a More for Me deal and a Margherita. The food took around 20 minutes and so did the drink. One of the waitresses in the restaurant approached us with an empty glass a mere 20 seconds before the food came out apologizing insincerely that the ticket had apparently not come through. Having worked in hospitality for a few years now I'm assuming that was most likely a lie she probably just forgot but everybody makes mistakes, and telling a customer that you forgot something doesn't always go down well if the customer is short fused. fair enough. The food looked alright at first glance and the first couple of bites were fine, unfortunately I then noticed a hair in my Pizza but I wasn't entirely confident that anyone working would care enough and just left that slice to one side. I then decided that i needed a drink, so walked up to the counter and asked for one. The lady behind the bar didn't even ask me what kind of drink I'd like, just handed me a glass for the soft drink dispenser. I asked if i needed to pay for this, to which she said it was fine. Thanks! I'm happy to report that the Pepsi Max was top notch. We didn't end up waiting around for the dessert we'd ordered in the meal deal so cannot comment on this.
We visited for the Pizza Hut buffet and overall it was decent but I wouldn’t describe the overall experience as nothing more than average, not amazing but not bad. The salad bar was decent and has an array of different choices with plenty of dressings to choose from. There are 2 drinks machines available for where you fill up your bottomless drinks which tasted good. The ice cream machine was also good and offers your standard soft serve ice cream: quite creamy and refreshing. The pizza though was a bit hit and miss as was the service. When we first had pizza from the buffet it seemed that it had sat there for some time and there seemed to be quite a wait until they cooked and put out more pizzas. When they put out more pizza, it was hot, fresh and overall quite good. The service was a bit slow. We noticed some tables were left with dirty plates which were yet to be cleared away. Our sever, although pleasant enough seemed to forget about us and when she said she would return to take our order she was no where to be seen. To conclude, it was a bit hit and miss but I wouldn’t describe it as bad. I would return in the future but not in a hurry.
Came here with my family after a couple of hours of bowling, was super hungry. Ordering on the app was a real nightmare, especially for a child who has allergies and the waiting staff were just in a massive rush to get back to chatting rather than just take your order or help. Food came out within a reasonable time frame but, the chips were like standard oven chips you could cook at home (and we're not cooked fully), onion rings were under cooked, garlic bread wasn't too awful, my meat feast pizza was chewy, but tasted okay (wasn't very hot though but put that down to how long it took them to bring everything out, one thing at a time). Anyway fast forward 6 hours later, SEVERE food poisoning! Awful stomach cramps and pains, sickness the lot, was NOT having a good time. Both me and my daughter shared my pizza and she was also throwing up (everyone else who ate different foods were okay). Overall as a place I used to visit alot as a child and absolutely loved, completely let me down, not only on the standard of the food but clearly the lack of hygiene care and food handling for the fact both myself and daughter were so poorly after eating here is shocking and I will NEVER be returning. Complaint has been made and doctors notes submitted as evidence it was food poisoning. DO NOT EAT HERE
Visited for the lunchtime buffet. Staff seemed a bit stretched as not that quick to acknowledge us or seat us. Ordered using the qpp which was nice and easy. The pizza counter was well stocked and pizzas replaced promptly. The salad bar was mostly re stocked when needed. However when we all got our drinks, one was warm , the others totally flat. We spoke to a member of staff who just said it was because it was warm and that ice will help- my cup was half ice and it still tasted awful. She said we should have been told when seated. Then pointed out we could have squash. Basically the machine was faulty and we paid for a choice of drinks that weren't available. We did ask at the bar but they said it was the same issue there. So we just had water. Other than that we enjoyed our visit.
We'd just gotten out of swimming and were hungry, we went to pizza hut and asked for a table for 5 people, unfortunately she didn't have any space and offered us a slot at 1:40pm she alos took our number and told us if a space became available before that time she'd let us know. We went for a awalk around the complex and sure enough we got a call about 10/15mins after and got seated. We all ordered the buffet, there was always pizza out never running out, salad bar was fullt stocked and the pasta was beautiful (my fave) Staff were friendly and the place was busy. Lovely food and atmosphere.
