La Chocolaterie de Pont-Aven

Shame on the manner of the waitress, it was rude and slow. Expensive and food in Very bad conditions. No recommendable.

This is a gorgeous stone building that is equally pretty on the inside. We were presented with a menu with a whole array of delicious sounding cakes and drinks. After much consideration the four of us were ready when the waitress came. Sadly, she explained that she just took our drinks order and we had to go to the counter to choose our cakes. This meant, unlike what the menu suggested, we had a choice of just six. The desserts were beautiful. Glossy and unusual pieces of confectionary which made our expectations quite high. This made our disappointment more pronounced when it came to the 'taste test '. Two out of four of us agreed that our desserts were merely 'ordinary ', one was downright disappointed and just one felt his tasted as good as it looked.

We discovered by chance this place after having lunch at the restaurant on the bridge we couldn't resist and took a dessert. and go back with chocolates and tartin paste as a souvenir. An exceptional place at the level of the frame with stone room inside fireplace and outdoor terrace quiet a haven of peace , which transported a little in another time the gates were a delight and the chocolates too retard you in front you will not resist

We came to buy chocolate. prices are rather high and the reception is far from being warm! some emphasis had to be placed on information about the products proposed. We have tried the white chocolate with muscovado sugar: light brown color, it is very aromatic: notes of liquorice and caramel.Excellent.No possibility to taste ice to take away in peas.

Whether it is for a lunch break in the adorable outdoor courtyard or to choose cakes and chocolates the address is a safe value! I highly recommend!
