La Rocca - POMARANCE

After reading some of the reviews that say something negative about this restaurant I’m compelled to leave one myself. First, keep in mind that this is a small, family owned/run establishment. Stefano is a kind, accommodating, and patient person, especially considering our group of 6 people at times were indecisive about what to order. Stafono would greet us anytime we were passing by and gave us advice about parking to avoid towing/parking tickets. That being said, if Stefano was “mean” to you, then you yourself must have done something to bring that upon yourself. Food was great! I would say above average of Italian food based on my two weeks in Italy. everything on the menu is clearly listed with the price. There was however no option for pizza when ordering even though the sign outside indicated it-since it a restaurant out in the Tuscan countryside I assume they simply ran out of ingredients and haven’t resupplied.

Perfect little tavern in Tuscany. Rustic and authentic the pastas we tried were delicious, and great tiramisu. Charming owner whose little English was all he needed to be more than polite. This is real Italy.
