Taverna O Dimitris - Polygyros

One of the best family tavernas that I ever visited in Greece. I can't describe the hospitality of the owners and the quality of the food especially the home cook mousaka. Will come back again!

I cannot recommend this authentic family taverna enough. The owner is super friendly, the portions are big, the prices are fair and the food is amazing. We went to this place a couple of times after we discovered it. The best thing about it is that they have local and homemade dishes that are amazing, such as sea fennel salad or locally grown chicory. Do not miss this place on your trip, it is worth it.

Lovely family business with great traditional greek food and kids-friendly service. The father is the chef and his sons are serving on the tables. There was a variety of fresh fish and meat choices. Meat is from they're own farm. We ate there with our toddler and everything we ordered was extremely tasty and we enjoyed every single bite of it. The staff was really polite and willing to help with everything. Definitely recommend to others. Always worth a stop even if it requires a detour.

Small garden- AMAZING lamb! The service is great and you really feel you’re in a family restaurant. Grandpa is the cook, the desserts are made by grandma, the son and his wife run the restaurant with other family members. A fantastic experience, if choosing between this one and the one next to it- choose this one

Small green garden with nice, quiet atmosphere (except for the display of a Greek Sunday lunch, which one should not miss! . Everything we tried was delicious, on top being the grilled fresh fish. The family that owns it are very friendly and like seeing you take your time and enjoy your visit. You should not hurry, if you decide to go there, as you are going to get a very tasty desert when you ask for the check. We saved it on our “must do list” for Halkidiki.
