Calistoga Grill - Pointe-Claire

The restaurant is located in a shopping centre. The service and the food were quite good – I had the Southern chicken and my friend had the NY Steak. The music would probably have been OK in a larger room. The current location is simply too small both for a band and for the guitar player that was on before the main attraction. Thanks to our lovely waitress, we were able to move to another room and have actually managed to have a conversation. I am not sure I would go back on an evening with entertainment that, incidentally, commands a cover charge of $5 per person.

This place is gr8 because you can watch a show/band while eating a good meal at good prices. We had a fun night !

The band was amazing !! sounded just like Abba !! The food was terrible, i ordered the ribs and it was a job trying to get the meat off the bone !! Ceasor salad was delicious Thank god...

Calistoga grill? Yes it is the place where you get burnt, I don’t really know where to start as I am use to do good positive reviews, but sometimes you have to call it like it is. So we had tree people celebrating their birthdays on St-Patty’s day. A good friend made a reservation at the restaurant for 16 people all together. We get to the restaurant go to the hostess desk and pay our way in and the cover charge fees for the show 10.00$ and told them we might have 2 more people joining us. Well a big red flag came on as they can’t add 2 chairs at the same table for 16 which we were all ready to squeeze in. If they do it they might get a fine from the fire department. Ok no problem with this, we finally separated and they offer us a table for 4 nearby, then we ended up having 4 people from the same gang and party being separated. Now the fun starts: We are now 7 o’clock and all sitting down when the arrogant server starts taking our orders, my wife and I are the first one to order. So we order our meal and said we are going to share a meal and an appetizer. Well we are not allowed, anybody walking in the restaurant has to order is own full meal. We objected to this and said he was going to get his manager, so we changed our mind as we did not want to embarrass our friends and family so we both ordered a full meal just to make him happy. Then some of our friends showed up to take their seats and wanted to order their food, this couple wanted to share a meal as well and they were told that she is not allowed to order a drink if they intend not each order food. He threatened to call the manager again and said that it’s the law if you don’t order a meal you are not allowed to order a drink. So they decided to leave the restaurant and go home. So my wife and I were sitting different places in the beginning of the night so we could chat with our friends. We add ordered a few drinks previous to diner but just before diner time came around 1:30 later (unbelievable) we switch places to be sitting together for having our meal. The waiter came to tell us that in order for him not to get mixed up we cannot change seats. I told him that this was enough for me and it was not going to happen and that I was going to have diner sitting next to my wife. He then said again that he would go get his manager. By that time we had all decided to leave the restaurant and not to wait for the food anymore, remember this is one hour and thirty minutes after ordering. We ask the waiter to prepare the bill for the drinks paid everything and left. As we are going down the stairs to leaves to go pay they were coming up to the table with the food. When I saw what was on the plates I said to myself there is a god for us because everything looked awful, just the salad looked like a cage aux sport twin style salad. So we paid our bill, left and then the waiter chased us in the parking lot said he forgot to charge 1 beer. I went back in and paid for that drink. What a night don’t go there complete amateurs and they don’t care about returning customers.

Good meal, service and excellent music!! No cover charge on Thursday nights. The Rolling Stones Blushing Brides tribute band was excellent also.
