Old Western Saloon

Great spot one could say fit for the queen herself. They wouldn't be wrong. Has pool tables and both kinds of music country and western. A real treat.

Guitars Cadillacs, country music... I’m a big fan of dive bars, so if you’re looking for fancy drinks and upscale decor, this isn’t the place for you, my friend. This is a genuine bar where real people enjoy a drink. There’s music, dancing, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some fighting on Saturday nights, but I visited on a Sunday, and it seems they cleaned up all the mess before I arrived, haha. Leave your pretensions at the door; we all put our pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us drinkers!

This cozy, hidden gem of a bar features a lovely pellet-fed fireplace right in the center. The bartender was friendly and quick with service, and the drinks were quite enjoyable. At first, the local crowd seemed a bit loud and rowdy, but it turned out they were actually very welcoming! I can imagine the atmosphere is even more lively on weekends.

I made a quick stop in this charming little town and was in need of a beer after a long drive. I’ve always enjoyed visiting older-style pubs, and the Old Western Hotel was just what I was looking for. Its wooden bar and antique decor created the ambiance of a place where cowboys could stroll in at any moment, toss a hefty coin on the bar, and order a bottle of whiskey, a room, and some company. Fast forward to 2018, this vintage-style saloon has a nice, laid-back atmosphere, complete with pool tables in the back. I would have loved to experience it when it was busier, but listening to the locals discuss the nearby fires was intriguing, and I even met a chef who made my brief visit quite entertaining. There's a lot of character here, and the Lagunitas beer on tap was smooth and flavorful. Definitely worth a stop!

Friendly, unpretentious, authentic a true classic in every way. A trip to PRS doesn't seem complete without a stop by the Saloon. Pretty good beer selection, full bar.
