After a walk from Starnberg through the Maisinger Schlucht and then through the fields to Pöcking, this is about the only place where you can eat. The inescapable Schweinebraten mit Knödel was all I could get, but it was already well past the lunch time, so I was happy with whatever. Still, the Lauchsuppe (leak soup was more than OK with small croutons. Schweinebraten will never be my favorite, but the meat was soft, the sauce good and the salad excellent (yes, there's a lot you can do wrong with salads! . I hade a peek in the kitchen which was surprisingly modern. So, not bad at all
