We waited for over 45 minutes for our slushies and finally just left. We did the mobile pick up order, and when we got to the car stall I checked in. 20 minutes later, we still didn't have our drinks, or any indication that they knew we were there. So I pushed the button and was told that they were short staffed so I needed to go through the drive-through. I explained that I was there to pick up a mobile order and they said to stay where I was and it would be right out.15 minutes later, the drinks still were not out. By this point my kids, who had been waiting very well, were starting to get cranky and upset. I pushed the button again, and was told to please to to the drive-through because the stalls were not taking orders because they were short staffed. Once again, I explained that I was picking up a mobile order, but if it was easier I would go through the drive through. They told me to stay there and they would bring the slushies right out.A few minutes later, a girl walked out and said my order was delayed on their end for 25 seconds. I explained I had already been waiting for over half an hour and that I wasn't sure what the delay was. She said to wait for a minute and she would have her boss come talk to me to see if we could figure it out.15 minutes later the drinks were still not out and nobody had come to talk to me, my kids were all crying by then so we just left. The 50 minutes of waiting wasn't worth the $6.00 I paid in drinks.Multiple employees came in and out of the building during our wait to do things like go to the bathroom and talk to people in other cars. Very few times did I actually see them bringing food to cars who I assume were other mobile orders? One employee even walked up to a car near mine and grabbed a vaping tool and took a quick vape through the window of the car. She did this twice while I was watching. When we left, two employees were just sitting on the patio talking. (I have no idea if they were taking a break or not, but maybe you should take your break after you have served a customer who has been waiting for 45+ minutes.)I totally understand being short staffed. These are tough times for businesses right now. And I had no problem waiting extra time to accommodate for that. But 50 minutes of waiting is extremely excessive and unprofessional. Especially for 6 drinks/slushies. Not even food. We will not be visiting again anytime soon.

Since Stephanie left, the new manager (Annie) does not know how to run the store. She can’t order anything right, she can’t control her employees, she can’t schedule or train anyone right. She never stays her entire shift if she even shows up. Blames the crew for everything going wrong. I just left there as a shift manager and the pay is not worth it! We all worked out butts off. The employees that still remain, are fed up as well. Some of us worked there for years and never been treated the way the district manager treats us. (Annie) everyone is walking out because of her. Not the work. Sonic is a great place with great people. But until Annie is off her high horse, nobody will return. They’ve lost some of their best workers at this franchise because of her. Nobody will listen to any of us because they don’t care and it’s her word against ours, so maybe when a poorly rated review about her comes in that’s public, they’ll pay attention.
We really enjoy Sonic food, but the wait times here are terrible. Last time we went, we waited in a stall after pushing the order button for 15 minutes with no response. We thought we'd try the drive through instead, but waited another 20 minutes without ever moving forward. When the car behind us got fed up and left, we backed up and left, too. I wish this was an isolated event, but it happens often. We'll think twice before going to this Sonic ever again.
