Treasury Cafe Bar Restaurant - Plymouth

Booked afternoon tea for some friends to catch up. Nice decor and quiet and it was fabulous to be able to bring a friend’s dog with us. Water and a treat was brought for the dog which was lovely. We liked that the sparkling afternoon tea was flexible enough to offer cocktails as well as Prosecco the cocktails were excellent. The food was nice, but not outstanding in any way. The sandwiches were smoked salmon, cheese and pickle and ham. The cakes were nice but two of them tasted very similar (ginger cake and carrot cake? , although the server did not actually tell us what any of the food was when it was brought to the table. Was surprised that they were unable to offer any other jam but strawberry, but maybe we should have stated that in the dietary requirements when we booked? There were two servers, both were very friendly and polite, but despite the fact that there were only 2 or three other tables occupied, we still had to go up to the bar to get the bill.

Came here for my partner's birthday. The decor is lovely, Danny and Skye we're brilliant and the food was fantastic. Also to note, we were on our lunch break and everything was really efficient. We'll definitely be back again. Thank you.

An unplanned date night ended up with dinner at the Treasury. Not our first visit but it’s been a while. It was very quiet but it was a Wednesday. Our waiter Ben was great, very polite friendly; made menu recommendations made sure we were happy. As it was quiet he chatted with us at the end of our meal. All round a lovely evening.

Always an enjoyable experience. I had a Scotch Egg which was so tiny, it really was two or three mouthfuls. No idea what kind of egg it was?! The pineapple did make up for it. Although a small plate meal it was smaller than a starter. So if the egg was normal size, I would have felt I’d had lunch, but I was done in a few minutes and waited for my friend to finish hers. Yolk was soft and all well cooked, so a pity that for £8 it was minute. Love to have again if it’s upgraded.

We stumbled across the Treasury and were delighted by our find. An amazing venue and great service from Amelia and Luke. The rum old-fashioned was a delicious revelation. Will be back!!
