The Prime Stk-out - Pleasantville

I made a reservation for 7:00 PM on a Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation. I mentioned that I booked through OpenTable, but they informed us that they don’t utilize that service. It didn’t matter much since the restaurant was nearly empty, so we chose to sit outside. We placed our drink orders, received them promptly, but then didn't see anyone for another 30 minutes. When our waiter finally returned, he explained that one of the kitchen staff had just arrived, so there would be a delay in getting our food. It was puzzling because we could see that the kitchen was empty the whole time we waited. After sitting there for nearly 40 minutes without service, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I cannot comment on the food since we never got to try any, but I certainly won’t be returning to this restaurant.

I strongly advise against going to this restaurant. I made a reservation for a party of 7 on September 4, 2022, on August 24, at 5:30 PM. When I arrived, I found a sign indicating that they were closed for Labor Day weekend. It would have been common courtesy for the management or owners to reach out and inform me ahead of time. Thankfully, we were able to find a spot at Benjamin's. I called on September 6 to inquire about what happened, but again, there was no response or effort to communicate on their part. Customers deserve better treatment than this.
