Azur - Playa Paraiso

We like to eat there. the ambiente is beautiful, on the quiet side, even if the restaurant is full. the dishes are lovingly prepared and served proudly. Extra food requests are well accommodated. the prices are not cheap, but the resort is up and it is reflected in. the preisen.

This lovely French-inspired restaurant is located within the Grand Luxxe Residences at the Riviera Maya Resort. It is classy, has superb service and a delectible choice of fine foods to select from. It is fine dining.

Azur is the French restaurant in the Grand Luxxe portion of the Vidante resort property just outside of Playa del Carmen. Prompt, attentive and friendly service....usually live music in the background....and a super selection of wine and food to choose from. Not inexpensive, but always...worth at least one visit when we're at the Grand Luxxe.

I normally only get to trip advisor for positive reviews, yet this time i MUST very badly criticize this restaurant. I had been here before, great food, great experience, 3 years ago.. fst fwd... sitting down at 8:30 long story short, after a very expensive...bad wine and 2 hrs waiting... food comes in the form of a very tough over cooked steak that was supposed to have a paris butter on top... asked for medium rare. Sorry but can’t say more

Our family of 6 enjoyed a delicious dinner at Azur. After a long day of travel we selected nearby Azur for our late night meal. We had a good table near the oyster selection and spotless food prep area. We began with escargot, frog legs,...and an array of cheeses as appetizers. All were excellent, especially the frog legs. Our 7 year old granddaughter selected the salmon with French fries and she loved everything. I tried the Berkshire Pork-chop, my wife had the gluten free version of the strip steak (no fries which aren’t cooked in a dedicated fryer, our 19 year old granddaughter had the duck, and the other two went with the salmon. All were delicious!!! Service was slow, but otherwise very good. We enjoyed our meal immensely.
