I hadn't enjoyed a good mocha in Los Angeles until I discovered this place. The coffee was excellent, and the orange cranberry scone was delightful. The food menu also looked appealing, and overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic.

This relaxed coffee shop in Playa is perfect for a post-surf session. I visited on a Saturday morning around 9:30 AM and found a short line that moved quickly. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating available. The parking lot on the side offers paid parking, but if you're just stopping by briefly, there are several free spots available for about 20 minutes. They accept credit cards. I ordered a hot matcha latte with oat milk; it was a bit weak but fortunately not overly sweet. The cashier seemed a little distracted, so I had to repeat my order. They also offer food options like bagels and pastries, as well as smoothies. The acai smoothie is thick and well-blended. Overall, it's a convenient local spot for a quick visit.

Tanner's offers everything you could want in a neighborhood coffee shop. First, they serve exceptional coffee; I usually go for the iced latte or iced mocha, both of which are expertly made and perfect for enjoying a stroll to the beach on a warm day in Playa del Rey. Secondly, the staff is fantastic and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance really captures the beach vibes that resonate with the community. You can plug in and get some work done, relax on a cozy couch with a good book, or soak up the breeze outside. The food is also delicious, especially the smoothies. My personal favorite is the Bacon, Egg, Cheese, and Avocado on an onion bagel—so good that I might just have to get one right now! Be right back!

FOR YEARS I have been searching for a coffee shop that has that local, small-town feeling. Personal and personable touch, great staff, and a sense of, 'don 't be a pretentious jerk. Be polite. ' Love it!
