Bidrage med feedbackThe house of AiA Plamaia is amazing! Have an all-inclusive day pass and could enjoy their two restaurants as well as their taco truck. Updated by previous rating on 2023-02-01
Happy Cow should reverse her rules over 5 stars for this All inclusive resort. All foods are plant-based with options to add milk or seafood to people who specifically request it. I have never met omnivores who have allowed to taste vegan cuisine because it is the standard in this resort. My wife and I have been vegan for 9 years and we never had a resort experience like AIA offers. My only concern to write this review is that so many people decide to go that it will not be space when we visit next time. #Veganuary Updated by previous review on 2021-06-03
They do not allow you to access this place unless you are hotel guest or buy some hotel day-pass. Sucks
Agree with other reviewers, a large business like this with a 100% vegan menu should qualify for 5 stars even though guests can get animal foods upon special request. The luxury all-inclusive hotel is completely plant based, amenities are labeled vegan. It features 6 restaurants which all have completely vegan menus. 4 of those will serve meat or dairy if specifically asked for by guests. Fantastic experience, can’t wait to go back. Feel very pampered and also connected to nature.
This place is a paradise for vegans. Not only is the menu plant based (over 5 restaurants, beach/pool menu, taco truck, in-suite dinning, and bars) but the entire resort is vegan (soaps, surfaces, etc). To top that the food is all scratch made and some of the best, if not the best vegan food I’ve had in the world. They do some fantastic things making plant based fish substitutes like a watermelon poke, a smoked papaya as lox, and various sashimi from peppers and fruits. They also made a carrot based egg yolk that was so good and popped just like yolks I remembered in my non vegan days. There are so many choices on all the menus that it would be quite an undertaking to try everything (even during our 5 night stay), especially when there are things that are so good that you want to get them more than once. Did I mention the drinks? Their mixology menu had so many delicious cocktails that were offered without alcohol (they didn’t push the alcohol but you had all the top shelf bottles at your disposal if you were interested). The resort sits on the beach within a jungle and has all the amenities that someone looking for relaxation and rejuvenation would want, especially spirit seekers. They had daily meditation, yoga, exercise, art, and spiritually leaning classes. Numerous beach front cabanas with beds and lounge chairs. The beach was clean as were all the pools. At night there was a bonfire and DJ at one of the beach front bars. Our suite was beautiful and overlooked the ocean. It had numerous healthy vegan goodies waiting for us. We never felt like there were too many people staying there and it felt like it was almost catered directly towards us. All the staff were so kind and accommodating. They loved our 8 month old and were happy to make different combinations of food that he could eat texture wise. He loved all the food as well. They also have a children’s center that has plenty of toys and loving staff (for 3 potty trained kids). Other patrons spoke about how their kids loved it so much and didn’t want to leave. Babysitting is also available and was really easy to setup and the sitter was so caring and trustworthy. It seemed like literally everything was thought out. I could go on and on about our experience here but will save you the reading by encouraging you to use all your power to have at least some time here to experience Palmaïa: the house of Aïa. You will not regret it.
