Rubalee's Southern Kitchen - Plano

As a wedding planner I highly recommend Rubalee's and their catering services! One of my brides booked them for their wedding catering and their food was absolutely delicious ? They were professional, efficient and presentation was beautiful. They provided such a great meal guests were asking for seconds. I personally recommend the banana pudding, my favorite! The chef, Rubalee and her family and staff were such a pleasure to work with and I hope to work with them again in the future. Keep up the good work ?

We had our family Thanksgiving Feast with Ruba Lee's Southern Kitchen catering. Coming from a long line of great cooks, I was a little worried that my sisters would be critical but they were as impressed as I was with the food, all of it was excellent from the turkey and dressing to the fabulous blackberry cobbler. Maya set up the buffet professionally and the clean up after was the easiest ever after Thanksgiving! I can't say enough how tasty the food was, and how easy it was to schedule. Wow!!! I can’t emphasize enough how fantastic the food was. The customer service and atmosphere were incredible. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant often. Oh, and the owner has the best customer service!!!

We chose Rubalee’s for a “Celebration of Life” event, and it was truly wonderful! Everything, from the fried chicken to the banana pudding, was exceptional! They handled all the setup, which made my day so much easier.

They frequently hold pop-ups at my workplace, and this time, I was eager to try their Cajun tilapia. The fish was absolutely delightful—flaky and beautifully seared, seasoned generously with Cajun spices that packed in a lot of flavor without being too spicy or overwhelming. It was tender and moist until the very last bite! I also tasted their mac and cheese, which was wonderfully cheesy—perfectly balanced, not too runny or overly thick. Their collard greens were among the best I've had; they likely don't use ham hocks, but there is definitely some kind of pork flavor infused in them. The cornbread, however, was a bit of a disappointment—it was slightly dry and overbaked on the outside. To finish off the meal, I enjoyed a generous slice of their banana pudding, which I highly recommend. It had a delightful mix of textures, featuring a plain cookie layered with pudding and frosting.
