El Fenix Famous Mexican - Plano

We hosted a birthday party for my mother with 33 guests at the Plano location on HWY 75, and I can't say enough about the experience. Myra was wonderful and took exceptional care of us. The wait staff was outstanding; we couldn't have asked for a better experience. They took our orders promptly, kept our drinks filled, and managed to get our food out quickly, even with such a large group. We were there for dinner, and everyone was incredibly polite and friendly. Thank you so much, Myra, for your excellent service and for making our celebration so memorable!

Daniel provided excellent service during our visit. The enchilada plate and chimichanga were delicious! We can’t wait to return.

The ambiance is lovely, and the waitstaff is friendly. The enchiladas are fantastic, and it's a cool, relaxing spot away from the Texas heat. The queso is absolutely amazing!

. The food was bland with no flavor other than the chicken tasted like boiled chicken for the so called spicy chicken encilades. The Hatch Chile chicken was an over cooked chicken breast with with a green sauce poured over it. The chicken breast was over cooked and tough. The waiter was missing in action and only appeared 3 times at the table. No checking on customer to see if anything else was needed. The wait staff needs to be trained on how to wait on customers and the cooks need to go to school on how to cook. Very poor and this was not the first time this happened. I do not plan to go back there in the near future. The meal was not worth what I paid.

Ice cold food! What I did eat was bland NEVER AGAIN I thought Texans knew how to make Mexican food. If you want Mexican food look else ware.
