Abuelo's Mexican - Plano

We enjoyed an early family dinner and the restaurant was quite empty. The food was delicious, especially the salsa and guacamole. The BBQ grilled shrimp fajitas were fantastic, with just the right amount of spice.

Although everything was very good, food lacks flavor, but the attention is unbeatable. There is a wide variety on the menu, including vegetarian options, kids menu and variety of drinks, I went for watermelon margarita and fajita trio (that includesshrimp, beef and chicken)..beef was so delicious. Totally recommend if you want to spend time with family, go on a date or justhave a good time.

For those who are mindful of COVID, Abuelo's offers a spacious environment with high ceilings. The food was excellent! I had the lunch chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce, and they were delicious. I'm also happy to find out that I can enjoy cilantro lime rice there.

Our server was exceptional, but the food was quite lacking in flavor. The Coke was refreshing. The chicken I ordered tasted reminiscent of the rubbery, artificial chicken from high school cafeterias. My wife had the nachos, and they were, unfortunately, some of the worst I've had in recent memory—very bland and tasteless. The restaurant should definitely reassess its menu, considering the prices they charge in relation to the quality of the food they provide.

Our server was efficient and attentive! Fair pricing for food portions even though it was slightly more expensive than other Mexican restaurants. The chicken fajitas were tender and flavorful! The flan was actually really good (I always try it elsewhereto see if it measures up to my own homemade flan! Almost ????! The atmosphere was open and inviting. It's worth a visit!
