El Farolito Mexican - Plancetia

In my opinion it's the best rice and beans anywhere. Chips and salsa is one of the best. It's our favorite Mexican restaurant.

You can count on not just truly authentic Mexican food, great service, and authentic atmosphere, but OMG the flavors are ridiculously amazing. Highly recommended.

*ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO ARE VEGETARIAN OR DON’T EAT PORK* this restaurant uses lard for all their dishes, including their tortilla chips. I was ordering their cheese enchiladas (vegetarian dish) at least twice a week, and I was stunned to find out that they use lard even in that. In fact, they told me they don’t even use/have oil. I was incredibly disappointed because I loved eating there. I was a long time customer, and it would’ve been nice if there was some type of disclosure on their menu.

The #63 is what the waiter says is his go-to. So, I ordered it and it was delicious. It's an Enchilada (so tasty) that came with steak (yummy) and whole beans (you need to ask, or they will send you refried beans) It was so tasty!!! The chips are amazing, too.

Fajitas were delicious and the portion huge. Very popular hole in the wall. Celebrating 50years.
