Mozzicato Depasquale Bakery And Pastry Shop

This bakery is a mess! We purchased a disgusting fruitcake that was overly soft and filled with rotten fruit, clearly having sat in the display case for a week. We were informed that they do not accept special orders, which is surprising for a bakery. You would expect them to be more accommodating. We ended up throwing every cake we bought straight in the trash.

I have ordered a lot of baked cannolis from this restaurant in the past, and they were good. However, today I tried one and was disappointed—the filling was not sweet at all, just heavy and bland. I went back to tell the manager about my experience, but she insisted that the filling was sweet. She seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. I’ve had many cannolis from this place and others, and they were all sweet. When I asked for a refund of my $3.76, the manager said she couldn’t give me my money back but offered me something else instead. By that point, I was already frustrated with how I was treated. This is no way to treat customers. I won’t be returning; I can easily find better cannolis at a grocery store.

Don't pay attention to those naysayers dismissing Mozzicato's. Their reviews are likely penned by jealous competitors. If you want an authentic Italian perspective, you won’t find a better Italian bakery in Connecticut. How is it possible for everything to be perfect every single time for 80 years? I’m amazed at how they manage to keep the shop so spotless and inviting. No matter the business or service, it's hard to find anything that can beat Mozzicato de Pasquale.

Yesterday for the first time and the range was spectacular. But I made my selection of pastries and it was delicious! Very recommended!

So, I bought 2 Sicilian pizzas , gross soggy too much sauce , threw them away, bought arancini , days old fair at best !
