Delicia Mexican Grill - Plainfield

We came in on Mother’s Day and should have noticed that by the one table seated, it wasn’t going to be a great experience. We were greeted by the cook/waiter/busboy. He was sweeping floors while taking our order. Without washing his hands after cleaning tables and touching the floor he made our cups of water...there were no ice dispenser, but a big bowl that held the ice. He grabbed the ice with his hands and after dropping some on the ground he used his bare hands to clean the floor, then finished making our cups of ice. After he brought us the water I politely asked him for bottled water. After thinking carefully I decided to end what looked like a contaminated nightmare. We use to come here all the time before the owners changed and now I remember why we stopped! Restaurants are taking extra safety precautions and seeing such basic cleanliness be taken was too much to be ignored. Eat as your own risk

It was terrible. The servers wouldn’t come to us. We got water in paper cups since they were out of glass. I ordered food to go. Half of the food was wrong and the server told us we have to be patient when we asked for our drinks which were ready at the bar for maybe 15 minutes. We had to ask for the free chips and salsa when all other tables were getting theirs. And my friends went there because I invited them as I have been there before with my family and we had a great time. Overall a terrible experience and will never go back.

My husband I visited here, were seated at a dirty table, asked to move and wound up at another table dirtier than the first. At that point, we chose to leave.

Delicious food. Horrible service. Probably won’t go back.

The food was good but the kitchen was busy with carry out orders. While we were waiting 45 minutes for our food we saw at least 8 carry out orders come out of the kitchen. In my opinion they need to decide if they are a carry out restaurant or a table service restaurant. Even though the food was good, I don’t want to go back.
