Casa Del Pastore - Pizzoferrato

We came here for lunch with our family from the area and it was one of our best meals in Italy. We had a huge assortment of antipasti (salumi and prosciutto, melone) as well as various pastas (fusilli, risotto). We also had several types of meat dishes including polenta with sausage and short ribs, roasted lamb and bbq lamb. All of the dishes were excellent, in fact by mid meal we were struggling to continue to eat as we were full but continued because everything was so delicious. The locale in San Domenico (about 1200 m asl) is very simple and quaint it reminds you of a very nice rural farmhouse. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Pleasant surprise, we found and we stopped. reviews were discouraging us instead. clean rustic but unpredictable rooms, simple but really excellent dishes. well for those who want to eat genuine foods as if they were at home
