Bidrage med feedbackLove this place. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, nice prices, authentic Mexican food. Chose the 3-for-$15 combo. Southern style tamale, ground beef burrito and spinach quesadilla. Rice and refried beans. I spent $15 on food and $12 on beers, and had food leftover to take home. Great value.
Amazing place for those who love authentic Mexican cuisine! Delicious and diverse dishes, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make this restaurant the perfect spot for a great dining experience. Will definitely be coming back again!
I'm from the southwest so I'm trying to write this review as unbiased as I can, These tacos are the whitest tacos I have ever eaten, the image I share is what asada tacos should look like, add some chili green and radish, please. We need some spicy tacos please
Always an excellent Mexican meal at Topoto! Excellent service. Delicious queso and guacamole. Fantastic margaritas!
We first visited this place right after they opened and did not have a good experience. Since we thought it was startup problems, and they have survived for this long, we thought we’d give them another chance. While this visit was better, it is still not going to be our default restaurant for Mexican food as there were several issues with the food. On the other hand, the waitress was absolutely excellent and handled those problems that she could address promptly and cheerfully. We ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita. When we did, we asked how sweet it is. The waitress went to the bar to check and came back to report that it is not too sweet. When it arrived, it was tooth-achingly sweet. We explained this to the waitress who immediately took it away and had it redone to make it less sweet. Nicely done! The chips and salsa that were complimentary were a mix. The chips were warm, which was nice. The standard salsa was kind of flavorless. We asked for a spicier one which came quickly, and then were charge $2 for it. That seems to be a trend nowadays. While being charged for the salsa is not necessarily a problem, it would have been nice to have been told that we were going to be charged for it.For the food, we tried the TopoChanga, which is their version of a Chimichanga. We got the chicken version and it was Ok. Nothing special. The other thing we tried was the trio special for which we tried the Chile Relleno, a Southern Tamale and an Enchilada Verde. All the food arrived with a few minutes of our ordering it – even the waitress was surprised about how fast it came out from the kitchen. After looking it over, I could see how this could be done: The Chile Relleno was basically a cut open Poblano pepper that was then stuffed and heated – it did not have the expected egg coating. My guess is that most of the food was similarly prepared in advance (some of it has to be done that way: i.e. tamales) and just warmed to order. While this may make sense to run the restaurant efficiently it screams “shortcuts” to us. The flavors were also just ordinary. My overall take is that this place is basically ordinary. There are tons of Mexican restaurants around and I found nothing to distinguish this one from others in the area. Certainly it will not top my list nor become my favorite based on this last visit.
