Joe's Crab Shack - Pittsburgh

Like eating other customers' remains? How to be saddened by a manager who thinks you don't notice the difference between horror and snow crab? This place is for you! I wish I had made a picture of what we finally got when our orders arrived. Crab cluster? How about your own crab from a collection of dismembered refuse from other customers' records, reboiled and soggy for two, just $99! We finally got Stungeness crab after I turned it on the server, but then I was too annoying to eat and my child didn't feel good so I brought her to the car. This image is from the day after, so you have to take my word that it saw the same in the night before (damaging how well the spice penetrated... almost as if it was restored after withdrawal! My wife and her friends went soon. Her meals were just as disgusting, but somehow she still had it in her to leave a tip (can't blame the staff for a lazy and dishonest manager, she said. Good enough. It is offensive to think that some people work all week and look forward to it. I almost want to write an open letter of apology to all the cancers in the world that so many of them should be treated so dishonestly in death.

It's... food. My partner and I weren't in a Joe's Crab Shack. This place does not live until the hype you have in your head. The staff was great. You get 5 stars. But the food wasn't amusing to say the least. I ordered shrimps in 3 varieties. The bacon wrapped shrimp was carburized and the other 2 had no distinguishable taste. The fish tacos of my husband did not come as shown in the menu. The partial sizes were out of control. Every meal would have been sufficient for 3 persons. Sad dessert wasn't better. Gigantic portions and much too sweet. I barely took four bites. We probably won't return. But again was the FANTASTIC staff!

The seafood is really good and freshly prepared. We had fish and shrimp with fries. There's a selection. There is also a full service bar. Staff and bartender are very friendly. This is a great place for the family or date night!!

Good for fast food lovers. Most of the menu items are friend food, so not the healthiest options. But it was pretty good for what it is. Decor is all sea oriented, so fun for pictures. Our server was very nice and friendly, food took a while, although there were not many people.

I was treating my friend for lunch and her 1st time at Joe's Crab Shack. I didn't Iike how the Host walked right by us at the door (Restaurant empty) without speaking to us as we waited to be seated, then he doubled back to his stand and said table for 2(Really). Then he seated us right across from the bus boy/waitress stand and the dining area was empty. I said we don't want to sit here can we sit somewhere else, he said sit where you want and walked away, didn't walk us to our table or nothing, just rude. our food was excellent and so was our waitress. On our way out I did share the rudeness of the Host with our Waitress and asked her to please share it with her manager. I hope she did. The Host was at his stand when leaving and still no thank you ladies for coming, did you enjoy your meal, have a nice day nothing. I work in Station Square and I do a lot of take out with Joe's but my dine was very disappointing. Had to share.
