Bidrage med feedbackWe were in town visiting relatives for Thanksgiving and we were looking for a place to eat breakfast and my daughter recommended Geppetto Cafe. What a great experience. Very eclectic decorations--hanging books above the tables, exposed walls painted white, and other items with an industrial feel to it. The restaurant is thin up front and opens in the back a bit. Our waiter said the weekends are really packed, so plan accordingly. Their menu is perfect if you like a nice variety. There are savory and sweet crepes as well as paninis. While we did not try it, they also have a wide variety of coffee drinks and gelato for dessert. We tried two different savory crepes, the Ham Cheese and the Love Hate Thing. The Ham and cheese, well it had both on it, served with gruyere cheese and a honey aioli. We added spinach (and they have tons of other choices you an add to any dish or create your own crepe from scratch . The Love and Hate Thing crepe was smoked turkey, goat cheese and avocado with a Béchamel sauce (Béchamel sauce, also known as white sauce, is made from a white roux and milk. Of the two dishes, I have to say that I liked the Ham Cheese better because of the combination of flavors. We went the Sunday after Thanksgiving so I might just have been tired for turkey, but I think the goat cheese was a bit overwhelming. All the savory crepes are served with a side salad which was also yummy. All table are provided a free bottle of water, other drinks including the aforementioned coffee cost money. I can't wait to get back to the Burgh to visit this place again. There are a ton of other crepes to try and maybe a few paninis too.
Yesterday, I had the most delicious waffle I have ever tasted. It was perfection! The café is adorable and the staff are very friendly. This place might just become my go-to spot for breakfast!
We love this place. The crepes, both the sweet and savory, are soo good. I had the very berry with Nutella it was covered with fresh berries decorated with whipped cream!! My husband had the ‘Italian Job’ crepe with spinach, fresh mozzarella pesto. It’s his favorite thing on the menu! Coffee was excellent, too!
The service here is fantastic and the food is even better! Every crepe I've eaten has been absolutely delicious. Both the sweet and savory crepes are the best I've had.
Geppetto Cafe is AMAZING! I had the Bonjour. Holy moley- I didn’t know it was possible for eggs, Brie, bacon, a crepe, and fruit to be so good. Oh, and the oolong (from the tea shop next door was excellent. As a bonus, the vibe is absolutely adorable. :
