I am new to Pitt Meadows and was hesitant to try KJ Enjoy Garden due to some negative reviews on Facebook. However, one evening we decided to give it a try and ordered the chow mein and bone-in dry ribs. To our pleasant surprise, we absolutely loved it! It was much better than we had expected based on the reviews. Since then, we have become regulars and always order the house special chow mein, fried rice, dry ribs, and lemon chicken. While it may be a bit pricier than other Chinese restaurants in the area, we prefer sticking with KJ instead of driving all the way to Port Coquitlam or Maple Ridge. The service has always been fast, whether we are dining in or getting our food delivered or for takeout. The staff have been courteous and we have never had a bad experience.
There is nothing in Maple Ridge that compares to the Chinese food at Enjoy Garden. I have tried many places in Maple Ridge, but they are hit or miss. King's Kitchen, for example, sometimes it's good, other times it tastes like leftovers. I wish Enjoy Garden would come back to Maple Ridge because their food is always fresh, with crisp veggies, big portions, and served hot. The open kitchen allows you to see the cooks chopping away, always ready with a smile. Good food and good value - why can't we have this in Maple Ridge?
After our last bad experience here we thought we would give them another attempt a few years later and hope it had improved. in the opposite. we had two portions of a fried rice, a sweet and acidic chicken balls, two crispy eggs for $42!!!...I and several others called for take-out, watched how they answered after the call, while behind them the pickup orders were up and go cold. they ignored me and all the others wait until the calls have stopped that needed some time. no excuses. I've been paying for my cold meal and I've come home. Apart from everything that's cold, it was terrible to eat. the egg rolls were in the inner black, the chicken balls were hard as nails and some had a green leaf on the inside. the rice was very fat. this time we learned our lessons about this really well. when they go, they were warned. there are many other good places to eat instead of the Sushi Square right next to this restaurant.
The dry garlic swarm was chewing and had a strange red color to a teig without a spicy or garlic at all. the crispy ginger chicken was sick sweet and soggy. they usually get nice and not a lot of meat in the curry bowl
