Bidrage med feedbackThe BRUNCH menu was heavy on the Br... and totally lacking on the ...unch. There were no lunch items offered at all. The coffee, french toast tower two slices of bread cut into four strips , and the crabcake eggs benedict all arrived at the table quickly but were all barely lukewarm. The french toast was undercooked and mushy in the middle. The crabcake eggs benedict lacked any hollandaise sauce, and the eggs were completely overcooked yolks were solid . The crabcakes were obviously of the frozen variety, mostly filler and lacking any taste. I would have been better off at McDonald's for pancakes and an egg McMuffin for a fraction of the cost. Our server was pleasant, so therefore a second star.
While I wish the restaurant good luck and applaud them having the courage to open a business in this disastrous economy, unfortunately I cannot say we enjoyed our meal. My family and I were looking for a local place on Mother's day and were excited to try Martini's, so we made reservations. I thought their fixed menu for the holiday was well priced at 29, but we still expected the food to be plentiful and of high standards. Sadly, it was neither. Portions were incredibly small and lacking in flavor and execution. The coffee was lukewarm and bitter. They ran out of the dessert which their menu stated they'd provide, Chloé's cream puffs, and a lackluster substitution was made that tasted like it came from a big box store's bakery department. Our waitress was somewhat flaky; first forgetting my drink, taking forever to take our orders, and completely forgetting that we were supposed to be given dessert, regardless of what it was. Perhaps brunch isn't their thing? Perhaps they're better suited as a bar with appetizers that you can pop into for a quick drink or snack? As I said, I wish them well and I hope they're not offended by this honest review.
This place has the perfect atmosphere for relaxing and chatting with other patrons. I sat at the bar and met so many wonderful people there that I came back twice. Three nights in a row and it was perfect each time. Understanding that their are growing pains when it comes to opening a place like this with a restaurant a bar and a theater that is a lot of things to juggle at one time. I have been to places like this one in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Florida, Dallas and Chicago they are on the right track. Their drinks are top notch. Jordan and Nick were fast efficient and exceptional mixologist that are also young enough to learn new and old drinks. Let's just say I was impressed. For those who may had not the best experience while visiting this really new restaurant just give them a minute to get their feet under them and they will change your mind. Remember that this is more than a restaurant it is a one of a kind and not some cookie cutter chain restaurant for fast food. I can not wait to see where this restaurant is in a year.
HORRIBLE. We were so excited to come here today for the Mother's Day brunch. We've been wanting to try this place since it opened. When we arrived we were told to help ourselves to the fruit danish bar. Nothing seemed homemade. Literally looked like danish from Sam's Club. I ordered the French toast tower . It was TWO slices of thin soggy French toast cut into pieces. My daughter ordered the pancakes. They had NO flavor other than grease. My husband got the eggs Benedict which again, had ZERO flavor. Dessert was supposed to be cream puffs. Waitress never offered them. Seemed to be rushing us out for the next people. We paid 116 for one of the WORST brunches I have ever had in my life. What an awful way to spend a Mother's Day. Will never return.
I was pleasantly surprised with Martini's as we just were walking by and made a quick stop in and didn't have reservations. The gentleman at the front was friendly and still found us a seat although they were packed. The servers were both very friendly and the food came out quickly. We had mostly finger foods but all of it was delicious. The drink menu had great variety and the seasonal drinks specials hit the spot. Give this new spot a try. Great work Martini's!
