Bidrage med feedbackThis hotel restaurant lies just a few kilometers east of Pitigliano outside the village of Casone. I visit this area several times each year, and Belvedere has become a must stop for a great lunch. I've only visited in fall, winter, and spring seasons, so I don't know what this restaurant is like in high season. But in the colder months, there is always a fire burning in the spacious dining room, where there might be roasting a whole fish, or some shrimp, or a steak over the coals. A variety of fresh pasta dishes, salads, and risottos are prepared in the back kitchen. Try a bowl of steamed clams as a starter, followed by risotto al pescatore. Belvedere produces and bottles their own wine. A half liter of house bianco is just fine with the fish. At 1:30 2:00, near the end of the lunch hours, the Belvedere family comes out to dine at a common table. It's not uncommon to see three generations at table enjoying their own cooking.
