Somerset Grill - PISMO BEACH

We really enjoy the ambiance of Pequin because of its beautiful waterfront view. However, we noticed that the menu seemed more limited compared to our previous visits. The burgers were tasty, but the service was lacking. When we requested another pitcher of water, the server responded that she wasn't our assigned server but offered to get it for us anyway. This seemed odd since she did serve our food to us. On a positive note, they did acknowledge the birthdays we were celebrating by giving us a complimentary slice of cheesecake.

So disappointing! Beautiful facility in an amazing location. We ate there twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. At dinner the service was barely adequate. The menu was fairly small. I ordered halibut. It was overcooked and a bit dry. Accompaniments were mediocre. Found out later that the to go menu was larger and better. Very dog friendly, which we liked. Went back for breakfast. Service was better. Food was mediocre. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes even though there were many empty tables. Won't go back.

The breakfast at this hotel is top-notch, and the view is fantastic. We highly recommend trying the biscuits and gravy as well as the breakfast burrito.

The service provided by our server was outstanding and the food was delectable.

Overall great experience. Staff was attentive and the food was great. We stopped for snacks and to enjoy the view always love stopping by Vespera great location!
