The Garrison - Pineville

Overall everything was good. The ravioli were a little overdone.

Long wait. Poor service. Small portions Waited 1/2 hour before we received our drinks. It was almost an hour before her dinner was served. We ordered the scallops. We got three of them. When we questioned our waiter about the delay, he threw his arms up and said we have a new system. I can’t put it in and walked away. Then went to another table and took their order.

We had never dined at The Garrison and decided to try it during Charlotte Restaurant Week. We were a few minutes early and our table was not ready, so we sat at the bar. The hostess and bar staff were all great! We were seated closed to our reservation time, and although our dinners were AMAZING, our server was not very attentive or friendly and forgot to bring our desserts.

Date night for Queens Feast was amazing. Started with some great cocktails French 75 and Old Fashion. Starters crab hushpuppies and The McCullough Salad. The crab hush puppies crispy on outside so most on inside. We both decided to do pan-seared scallops served over butternut squash risotto. The 3 scallops cooked to absolute perfect! We finished with tiramisu and ricotta cheesecake. Both of us silent, smiling after each bite. Excellent job by the desert chef. $45 per 3 course meal x2 $14 cocktails x2 Angel was our server, she is very knowledgeable about the whole food and drink menu. She has given us great suggestions the 3x we have been lucky to have her as a server. Excellent spot for date night, girls night out, would not recommend for children. Most seating is high table top or bar.

Beyond impressed with this restaurant! I was out for restaurant week with the bestie. I did the restaurant week and she ordered 3 courses off the full menu. Very attractive menu! Beautiful decor and comfortable seats. One major factor that made this a 5 star review-from almost the moment we walked in, we knew who the manager was. She was kind and worked with the hostess to give us seats at the upstairs bar while we waited for our table. Much better than standing in the entrance waiting. She then sat us shortly after to our table where they already had water waiting for us. The food servings were appropriate for the price and excellently presented and prepared. I had the scallops and it by far was one of my favorite scallop dishes. Also, the McCullough salad was fresh and plentiful. The cheesecake was very rich and high quality. The tiramisu was classically light and balanced the espresso and sweet well. Customer service was the perfect level of timing and attention. I will be back to this place and highly recommend it for a date night, night out with friends or venue for your next event.
