Bidrage med feedbackWould love to be able to review the food but we were there for breakfast at 10:45 and left at 11:30 due to no food lol. The waitress only cared about a big table next to us, instead of new locals trying to find a new local spot. After 30 min asked another staff member if they could check on our food guess what she disappeared as well. So 15 minutes later now 45 min total we left.
I was in the mood for a club or turkey sandwich so I found the Pinellas grill and thought I'd give it a try. Pinellas grill looks like a normal local dinner, nothing fancy. I think there is a bar all the way to the right but I didn't pay much attention since I was there for a quick bite. I was seated immediately and my server was there as soon as I sat down. She was attentive and nice. She checked on me a couple of times and was really fast taking care of whatever I needed. I decided to order the cauliflower soup to start with but I was told they just ran out. I thought it was kind of odd since it was only 11:30, my guess is they might not have made any for the day. I ended up ordering a turkey sandwich on a croissant with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was ok, the croissant had a weird fake butter taste, but the rest of the sandwich was good. I asked for a side of mayo and they gave me a Sysco pack of mayo. Come on do better, get some Kraft or Hellman's. I've never had someone give me a generic pack of mayo and it wasn't great so I used the mustard. The sandwich is supposed to come with a pickle but instead, there were 3 or 4 slices of dill hamburger pickles. ...really come on, put a pickle spear with the sandwich. Lastly, the potato salad was homemade but it didn't have any flavor. I added some salt, pepper, and mustard and it helped. Overall everyone was nice but the food was just so so, maybe I just ordered the wrong items.
We choose to go to Pinellas Grill because you get great food at a fair price. Staff is friendly. Love the all you care to eat fish and chips on Friday nights. Or Wednesday night Burger night!!
Myself and several friends have been going to this place for breakfast for years and since February of this year their service has declined, the food portions have declined and imagine waiting over 20 minutes for 3 scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and a biscuit and there were only 4 other 2 person parties in the place and 1 obviously untrained new waitress who never checked on us to see if we wanted anything more. The food was brought out by kitchen staff? Why? Another time my friend ordered crispy bacon and what she got was just barely blanched! When we complained we were told they 've had a hard time keeping their waitresses. With no training I 'm not surprised. I go too many other local nearby restaurants and they have very good well-trained people. Sadly, we won 't be returning to Pinellas Grill and I 've heard that similar issues happen at other times of the day as well. One person went there with a party of 11 and she never got her food? Poor wait staff training and a disorganized 'Back of the House '. What 's wrong with this picture? Just thought people should know. ????
I 've been holding a group meeting at this place for almost 4 years until the last 2-3 months when the wait staff turnover and poor 'Back of the House ' ability has truly declined. Imagine 3 breakfast plates sent back for the wrong item and 1 person never getting their food? Shouldn 't the wait staff check with their customers to see if everything is good? Basic customer service 101. Improperly cooked bacon... ask for crispy and you get limp barely cooked greasy bacon? Wow! Too Bad... So Sad. Blaming your problems on the pandemic is not the answer. It 's proper training and management. As I tell all my retail clients "The customer is not always right, but they are always the 'Customer '. If you customers are not important to you then they won 't be important to your staff. Have heard from other people who eat here that they have noticed the decline too.
