What a surprise , wasn’t expecting this delightful Indian Restaurant in Picton . Great food , I had the Buttered chicken with garlic narn bread . Great service and atmosphere

This place was conveniently across the street from our motel stay. And it’s open til 9pm as we arrived from our ferry arrival about 7:30pm. We ordered a takeaway of lamb masdras (includes rice), a chaat and naan bread. All were great tasting. The medium spicy was just right. And certainly enough for a second meal. As well polite friendly service up front.

I ordered the special curry, Lamb Boti Masala (Indian hot . This was the nicest curry I had in a while , a really unique taste with the BBQed lamb. The service was prompt and exceptional : . Had a good chat with Chef Dixit and the Uma the manager and found out how passionate they are with their cooking, definately will come back next time.

Best place in Nz to have a authentic biriyani. Came to know about this place from a pictonian and being an Indian and a Biriyani lover I am so happy to come across this place and meeting its friendly staff Uma, Dixit and Megh who really love their job and give 100% to make it tasty and yummy. Been there 3 days in 1 week and I have been telling my friends to try this restaurant and they too have become frequent biriyani customers. Thanks again to the staff for the delicious biriyanis.

The food was amazing and I felt like home after so many years. Uma Sankar- the manager was amazing at his service. Very polite, well dressed and well mannered. Dixit Chef(head chef) and Megh Chef has magic in their hands. They made mesmerizing food. It’s a must visit restaurant, if you visit Picton and love Indian food. The menu has varieties too.
