Sakada Sushi Teriyaki - Pickering

Very bad experience with their food. Would never go back there. Save yourself and go elsewhere. Their food is tasteless and can't believe we ordered so much food that would go in waste.

Unfortunately, the sushi was poorly put together. The spicy salmon roll was disappointing—surprisingly so, as I've found even the lowest-quality sushi places usually manage to make it at least somewhat edible. The salmon belly wasn’t actually grilled as the menu suggested; it was deep-fried and drenched in grease. The green dragon roll was missing sauce, and the avocado was unripe and tasted sour. The spring rolls were decent but were just your typical deep-fried frozen variety, and the teriyaki chicken didn't impress either. Even the salad dressing was scant and flavorless. It was evident that the chef has lost all passion for their craft. After our disappointing experience, we decided to leave and asked to pay only for what we had ordered. However, the server initially tried to charge us full price. When I reiterated that we wanted to pay for just our order, the total came to $44.87! To make matters worse, she went behind the counter, where she started badmouthing us and staring at us as if we couldn’t hear her comments. This made my wife feel very uncomfortable, and we decided to leave. Having visited hundreds of sushi restaurants, I can confidently say I've never encountered one as low-quality as this. As a seasoned sushi lover, I advise others to steer clear of this place at all costs.

The food was excellent! I visited on a night that seemed a bit challenging, but the staff was incredibly friendly and handled everything with grace. They genuinely seem like nice, hardworking people trying to make an honest living. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for the fantastic food but also because of the wonderful staff. I will definitely return!

Incredible food and service that are consistently excellent! My kids absolutely love the meals, and we frequently dine there.

I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I've ever had; it's rather average.
