Bidrage med feedbackI think everything was said in the reviews before. Beautiful hike, great view and great reward at the end. Adults and children love this place.
Our snowshoe guide led us here to sit in the 400-year-old former kitchen, today small, cozy dining room. You can see how the food is cooked before you on the original range. The menu is as rustic as the setting. We shared an excellent goulash soup and then, the Kaiserschmarren"Pudding “, that is, the Kaiser court, flambéd before you and a must do when you are there.
Great atmosphere and good food. We enjoyed it very much. You can see the kitchen in the open kitchen with the wood stove. And prices are low.
This was the best and most fascinating hut we skied to. Located with amazing panoramic views, in and old farm your dinner will be cooked in front of you on an old wood burner as there is no electricity! The most delicious menu awaits you of classic traditional Austrian fare! Served in a beautifully decorated cosy room with such friendly people, don’t miss it.
Yes this has become a bit of a tourist magnet because of its considerable age and shambling charm but it’s still very definitely worth trying out. The best thing to do is avoid the peak lunch time around 1300 because it’s 3 small wooden rooms get very crowded. As well as cross country skiers there are walkers and the horse drawn slays also stop there. It’s aged and shambling wooden structure has a rustic beauty and is unlike any other place we visited. There are three quite small dining rooms inside the main farm building. Each has its own stove where the food is cooked. There’s the usual sausages with kraut and mustard or bread and cheese, all of which was very nice but their speciality is flambéd Kaiser Schmarn basically chopped up thick pancake with icing sugar and jam which is then set on fire at the table in a rather alarming way. It’s great fun and very memorable overall helped greatly by some great staff. Well worth the effort to go.
