Govinda's - Phuket

I like Indian food, sooooo I’ve eaten it in many places. This place lacks any intuitive flavour or appeal! Do not bother!!! Updated from previous review on 2020-03-09

Govinda’s offers a multi-cuisine menu, but if our experience is any indication, the Indian items might be your best bet. Our Thai(-ish) green curry was unnaturally neon green and over-sweetened, and the empanada was a bland interpretation of its Latin American namesake (except for the dipping sauce, which was an Indian-style chutney). Fortunately there are plenty of vegan options, all clearly marked in the menu, so there might be something to suit your tastes. Service was warm and pleasant.

Food is good. Nothing to say about it. But hey 190thb for a tiny plate of biryani rice? That also does not look like at all the picture on the menu. 5% service charge on the top. Not surprised this place is empty. You got to take care about your customers guys. Otherwise be ready to close soon.

Our Thai (ish) green curry was unnaturally neon green and supersweet, and the Empanada was a blanching interpretation of his Latin American name cake (except the diving sauce that was an Indian style Chutney). Luckily there are many vegan options, all marked in the menu, so it could fit something to your taste. The service was warm and pleasant.
