Nishikawa Ramen - Phoenix

The restaurant is clean and somewhat small, but it wasn't overly crowded when I left. I started with Takoyaki as an appetizer and had Nishikawa Black Ramen with a soft-boiled egg for my main dish. The Takoyaki was pretty standard—nothing particularly unique about it, but it was decent. I enjoyed the texture as well. The ramen itself was well-prepared. I would have liked an option for different types of noodles or more toppings. The staff was friendly, the place was tidy, and the food was good overall. You can’t go wrong with a bowl of ramen here.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and brought my friend along! I tried the Tonkotsu ramen, El-Ramen with Takoyaki, spring rolls, and chicken karaage. Everything was delicious! As a Japanese person from Tokyo, I can say I would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Probably the best ramen in Phoenix! I tried the Nishikawa ramen with black garlic, and it had a mild heat with a nice kick. The Nishikawa ramen is a bit oily, so that's something to consider. The noodles are incredibly thin—just fantastic. They also come with softly cooked, seasoned eggs that elevate the dish! My fiancé went for the classic tonkotsu with medium heat, and it was excellent. I highly recommend the gyoza as well; they're perfectly crispy on the outside with delicate meat inside, served with a delicious yuzu sauce! This place is even better than the ramen I had in Washington, D.C. It really holds its own against spots in L.A.

I have the tonkotsu and the children's meal and the edemame and the melons creamy soda. Everything was really good except the miso edemame. Loved the taste of the clay soup base and the meat with which it came was a good amount. Also the prices were good. Very recommended if you like ramen.

I was told to try this place out by a friend who's an executive chef, so I believe his recommendations, and this one was spot on. I had the nishikawa black ramen, and it was extremely flavorful and filling. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some of the best ramen in the area.
